Reserving a Trailer: Information Required for Booking

Important: After receipt of drivers license, a Rental Agreement along with a payment link will be emailed. All reservations must be signed and paid for within 24 hours of making the reservation or it will be cancelled. Reservations are not guaranteed until signed and paid in full.
Renter Requirements
Driver Requirements – All trailer rentals require the Renter to have a valid driver license. We do not accept identification cards in place of a driver license. You must be 25 years old or older to rent or tow.

Vehicle Requirements
Towing Capacity
A 1/2 ton truck or bigger is recommended for most trailers. If you are unsure if your truck is capable of towing a trailer, look up the manufacturer’s specifications for your vehicle’s towing capacity.
Tow Package
A class IV hitch is recommended or a tow package strong enough to handle the total weight or Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Tongue weight is generally 10% to 15% of the trailer + load. A ball hitch that is mounted directly to the rear bumper of a vehicle is unsafe and should not be used to tow a trailer.
Additional Requirements
- All of our trailers use a 2 5/16″ Ball – If needed, ball hitches can be rented for $10.
- A 7 Pin Round Light Plug Receptor. This is commonly known as a 7 Pin RV Plug. It will have 6 outside pins and 1 center pin.
- Brake Controller – Every towing vehicle must have a brake controller. Without a brake controller, you will not have trailer brakes which is unsafe.
Travel Restrictions
Cancellations
Cancellations within less than 24 hours notice are non-refundable. Cancellations 48 hours prior to rental are 25% refundable. Cancellations anytime before 48 hours of the rental are 50% refundable
Rental Extension
Once the initial rental period rental extension has reached 30 days from the beginning of the rental period, a new Rental Agreement is required to be signed, dated and received by Turnkey Rentals prior to the 31st day of the rental.
